My experience is different to the other reviews, I am not sure how 1*. The discrimination review especially seems harsh as it would seem a normal process to allocate boat space.

I writing as my experience with the team was excellent. I had a great agent called Peter who helped me get onto a cruise and resolved so many issues I had. I had to review as it was outstanding service.

I look forward to the cruise now, but keep up the good customer service

Let me tell you right up front - beware - if you have been gifted a Virgin voucher experience you will be discriminated against. This company only accepts 'X' number of Virgin voucher holders for any one journey - period. The rest of the cruise could be empty but if you're not one of the 'X' number of limited Virgin voucher holders they allow on any one trip, you simply won't be allowed on. Blatant discrimination and nowhere are you told this on any of the voucher or other documentation. You only find out when you try and book - and find you can't because you're a 'Virgin Voucher Holder'- an inferior customer apparently. Am I furious? Clearly. Do I feel discriminated against? Definitely. This is an utterly disgusting business practice. You've been warned.

My wife and I booked a Sunday brunch river cruise in London. The website, at the time of booking, says "bottomless food" for the duration of 2.5 hours of sailing but an hour into the sail, all food had vanished from the display. When we asked a member of the staff, we were told there was no food left not even in the kitchen. I feel cheated for the £86 I paid for the brunch cruise.

Wow! What a fabulous experience. We booked the afternoon tea cruise on the Thames and it exceeded our expectations. We were a party of 7 and had the best seats on the boat, we were sat in the front window with 180° views of London. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the food was lovely. The commentary was both informative and amusing. Definitely would recommend it to anyone wanting to see spectacular views of London!

You have demonstrated Lack of Compassion. You took £940 of my money and refused to refund when my 94 year old father had a fall and broke his hip and we had to cancel the New Year’s Eve river boat dinner and dance. Lack of compassion and goodwill means I would never use or recommend your company !

Best city cruise ever. The staff was delightful. The food was amazing. The DJ was incredible. The Washington DC views were astonishing. The cruise was two hours long. We had bottomless mimosas. Everything was great!

Booked cruise for 2 emailing them prior about have vegetarian options there.

When we went there someone else took our vegetarian option so left starving.

The boat was also dirty and the staff had the audacity to ask for tips from everyone at the end.

I emailed head office explaining my experience and not getting the service I paid for but no reply. They do not care.

Avoid this company at all cost.

If they resolve my issue I will change my feedback.

What a fab way to see London from the river! Alfie offered a very amusing alternative commentary and kept us well entertained. Many thanks we will be back.

On the 11th hour of Remembrance Sunday the armed forces lay poppies in the war memorial, in silence remembering the lost, tears are spent thinking of lost fathers, sons, daughters and spouse- until york city cruise sail past blasting out their commentary. Disrespectful

Booking in Greenwich was great, boat staff were lovely- all in all a nice trip to S Katherine's Wharf. Going back was a different story- one boat cancelled and one extremely rude staff member not giving much info. We were asking politely about our return journey and were told by the loud, aggressive American female staff member to stop yelling at her. We were not yelling and were trying to get an answer but she kept talking over us. We walked away from her aggressiveness and she screamed across the walkway 'you'll get yours'. Charming and Professional- not.

Had a lovely river cruise pass for two

Oh my god. What a scam. We are local on Dorset and booked cruise. Cancelled twice no reason given. We sat on Studland beach and saw ferry going over!! They said we could have a refund so I went to Poole harbour where I booked it and paid in cash to get a very rude man to tell me I couldn’t have my cash I had to email to claim back.
So I emailed they said no problem 8 days later I still have no refund.
I have tried to call a number of times no answer they are impossible to deal with.
My advice is to stay away from city cruises they con you out of your hard earned cash and won’t refund your money my next step is small claims court.
The so called managing director Kyle haughtions is uncontactable there is no email for him what a joke !!!!!!!!!!

My son and I finally took a post Birthday cruise trip down the Thames. One of the key factors that stood out was the excellent commentary during the cruise. The individual who was narrating the information had a wonderful London humor. So Thank-You again.

took this 2hr plus trip along dorset coast and very interesting afternoon ,, captain very informed,, great way to look at different view of coastline,with loads of great information,,well worth£15

Recently had an afternoon tea with Citycruises having postponed approx 4 times due to the restrictions of covid. Customer service for Citycruises were extremely helpful and re booked with no issues.
The boat was very clean, comfortable with all round viewing and a glass top roof, brilliant when sailing underneath Tower Bridge.
The sandwiches were fresh, and a great selection of cakes, vegetarian sandwiches were also very nice. The staff on board serving the tea or coffee were most helpful, friendly and were very attentive, our cups were never empty !!
If you decide to treat yourself on board to an alcoholic drink the jug of pimms was excellent and very good value for money !
Overall an excellent experience and would recommend just as an afternoon out or as a special occasion.
